Do your bulls meet these qualifications?
- Born between August 1 and October 31, 2015
- Registered prior to arrival
- Weaned and preconditioned at least 3 weeks prior to shipment
- Up to date on clostridium and respiratory vaccinations
- Bunk broke
- Free of any structural defects or abnormalities
- No evidence of ringworm, lice, pinkeye, etc.
- Tested negative for PI-BVD
- Weigh 550 lbs. at the start of the test
- Good disposition
- All Red Angus, Angus, and Angus Composite bulls that are potential carriers of AM, NH, CA, DD, M1 or any other ancestral genetic defect must be tested free. No genetic carrier animals will be eligible to sell.
To qualify for the sale, a bull must….
- Have a Cal Poly Test Index* of:
- CPTI = 100+ …. OR
- CPTI = 97+ and ADJ YW 1150lb. OR
- CPTI = 92+ and top 30% of respective breed for BW EPD
- Scrotal Circumference of 32 cm. or better when adjusted to 365 days old
- No reproductive or soundness issues
*Cal Poly Test Index (CPTI) is based on: 50% BIF Adjusted Yearling Weight (ADG YW) Ratio and 50% ADG Ratio
